of some of the most atrocious machineries of war. The battle we are going to revive has its importance due to the fact that it was the first Battle fought on the Eastern Front, with a minor victory for Germany 8th army in the battle against Russin general Rennenkampf's first army; for more information Check out this video. It is amazing to believe how WWI led to the cease of all exisiting empires, consequentially bringing the rise of new countries. All nations will continue fighting until they will become countries

 

This quote by famous swordsmaker from Feudal Japan Miyamoto Musashi shows some of the key aspects of war, the importance of timing, and strategy. Despite how he was not alive during World War I, shows the relevance of timing and illustrates the strategy employed by the Germans when they suddenly attacked the Russian Infantry on August 17, 1914.

The figure on top illustrates the Russian infantry. Notice how the newly integrated rifle forms part of the Russian army, nevertheless during the battle these weapons were not abundant. In many cases Commanders would command their troops to retrieve weapons from the fallen soldiers and continue the fight. Welcome to Stalluönen.
