Some of the important people throughtout the course of events of this battle, vary from the two main Russian Figures, Paul von Rennenkapmf and Paul Karlovitch, leaders of Russia's First army constitued of 200,000 men; and his colleague General Samsonov's leader of the Second army. Both leaders receiving orders to flanl into Prussia and defeat the German Regime on their way. While this plan was constructed General Hermann von Francois, commanded of the 1 German Corps enters the battle. Francois notified with the Russians attempt to attack, sent a calvary group to push the group out into an ambush. With this victory, pushing the Russians back to their frontier, this marked the end of the battle. But, Francoius was forced to retreat his superiors despite having won a vitory against teh Russians in order to keep the Shlieffen Plan intact.

 

Imagine how the world´s largest army how the Israelian armed forces have around 187,000 armed forces just in their frontier line in comparison with the 200,000 men which constituted the First Army in the early 1900´s, (10).
